*Note:  We mourn the loss of our friend and advisor, Kerry Bouchier.  Kerry was a passionate advocate for better schools for all children.  We will miss her bright eyes, merry laughter, and determined commitment to education for all children.  We vow to keep the flame burning and the work continuing in Kerry's memory.

  • Richard Ayres.  Attorney, Ayres & Associates; co-founder of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC);  a past President of the National Clean Air Coalition;

  • Kerry Bouchier.*  Educational Consultant, Trident Enterprises;  formerly Board President,  Las Lomitas Elementary (Public) School District, Menlo Park, CA;

  • V. Shannon Clyne.  Managing partner of a Los Angeles-based investment banking firm; formerly Chief Investment Officer, Bank of America;  

  • Michael Hemmer.  Vice President-Law, Union Pacific Railroad; formerly head of transportation practice, member of the management committee, and leader of the Covington & Burling's  program to design its information systems support; 

  • Gary F. Jonas.  Advisor/Managing Partner, Board Member, Venture Philanthropy Partners, Reston, VA; former  CEO, TLC Laser Eye Centers, Bethesda, MD; former CEO and Board Member, Earl Palmer Brown, Inc. and University Research Corporation;

  • Frank Klassen.  Vice President and Principal, Syscom Services, Inc., an Internet strategy, web site design, hosting, and telephony firm, Silver Spring, Maryland;

  • Nancy Madsen.  Social Worker, Human Services Program Administrator,  County of Santa Barbara, CA.; formerly: Master Mediator, Ventura County  Superior Court; and Administrator, "Children in the Middle" Parent Education Program, Santa Barbara County, CA.

  • Deborah Patterson.  President, Monsanto Fund/Director, Social    Responsibility, Monsanto; formerly: CEO, St Louis Metro  American Red Cross; Executive Director, St. Louis City Employment and Training Agency;

  • Hon. Paul G. Rogers.  Formerly Congressman from Palm Beach, FL, serving 24 years in the U.S. House of Representatives; Chairman of the House Health and Environment Subcommittee, known to his colleagues as “Mr. Health”; principal House sponsor  of numerous health and environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act and the federal Safe Drinking Water Act; leader of Research America!, an organization that achieved a doubling of the health research budget of the National Institutes of Health over the past 5 years. 

  • Prof. Ronald Schmidt.  Chairman, International Executive Programs and    Professor, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, University of   Rochester, Rochester, N.Y.

  • Niki Schwartz.  Attorney, Cleveland, Ohio; formerly: President of the Ohio Civil Liberties Union; negotiator of a peaceful settlement of the Lucasville, Ohio prison riot;

  • Ann Segal.  At various times in her career Ann has served as Senior Program Manager and Director of the Washington Office for Building National Capacity for Children, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation; held numerous positions in HHS Office of Planning and Evaluation (dealing with issues involving children, families, child care, child abuse and neglect, welfare, and AIDS); and founded and was co-director of a nonprofit day care center for children. 

  • Bob Stine.  Better known in the publishing world as R.L.Stine,  best selling author of the Goosebumps, Fear Street, and Nightmare Room series of children’s books and TV series; and

  • Jane Stine.  President, co-chair, Parachute Properties, leading publisher of children’s books; President, R. L. Stine & Jane Stine Foundation.
