Note:  We mourn the loss of our friend and advisor, Kerry Bouchier.  Kerry was a passionate advocate for better schools for all children.  We will miss her bright eyes, merry laughter, and determined commitment to education for all children.  We vow to keep the flame burning and the work continuing in Kerry's memory.

"We have it in our power to begin the world all over again.  A situation similar  to the present has not appeared since the days of Noah until now.  The birthday of a new world is at hand."

Mission

The Social Venture Capital Foundation (SVCF) is a tax-exempt, public foundation. We are dedicated to proving that individuals and small  groups can make a difference.  We focus on the isolated, the powerless, the disabled, and dispossessed, and seek a world of inclusion and opportunity for all.

Our mission: to help new nonprofit groups and leaders build a world that is safer and healthier,  better educated, more just and more responsible, sustainable, and more peaceful.  We are planting Seeds of Change.

With your help and in these ways, we are planting powerful seeds of change.  For examples of some of the organizations and projects that SVCF has supported, see Accomplishments.  For examples of groups and projects that SVCF is considering supporting, see Grantees & Prospects.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

                        -- Margaret Mead
